Double Treat

"The time in 'Flow' is very odd - instead of bars, you'll wait seven beats until the next phrase and it's kind of, "Woah, what time signature is that in." It's in the time signature of regret or something, sort of flowing."
(Laurie Anderson on her Grammy-nominated violin piece 'Flow')

United Sleevefaces

I just can't decide which sleeveface* of United States Live is better:

Original here: sleeveface.com

* sleeveface = "one or more persons obscurings or augmenting any part of the body or bodies with record sleeve(s) causing an illusion. You're basically posing with the record label as though it were a part of your own body." (UrbanDictionary)

Anderson, 35

A vintage People Magazine article from 1983, mostly about what she "exactly does onstage for six hours", where "opera meets video games" (yes, United States Tour era).
